Viktoria von Pidoll is a curator and art and cultural scholar based in Dortmund and Paris. Her work focuses on modern and contemporary art and takes an interdisciplinary approach at the intersection of art, film, and performance—intertwined with technology, aesthetics, and strategies of staging. With an academic background in art history and media culture studies (University of Cologne), she is particularly interested in sonic materiality, sculptural thinking, and politics of care. In her curatorial practice, she actively incorporates art education perspectives and formats to create dialogical and accessible spaces of experience. At the Museum Ostwall in the Dortmunder U, she curated solo exhibitions of international artists such as Kapwani Kiwanga and Nadia Kaabi-Linke. She is also a co-founder of the feminist film collective Mimosa e.V., which organizes film screenings and discursive formats in non-institutional spaces.
