Lizaveta Matveeva is an independent curator based in Divonne-les-Bains, France.
Her recent projects include “IDK how to describe it but the peas are upside down”, Smallville, Neuchâtel, Switzerland (2023); “Zwischenräume”, as a part of the Art Prospect and Trash-5 festival, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (2023); and “It’s reverse”, PERMM, Perm, Russia (2022).
She works as a Project Manager at CEC ArtsLink.
In 2020—22 she was a Curator of Public Art Center, and in 2017—19 she curated SAM Fair, both in St. Petersburg.
In 2020 she curated “I don’t know whether the Earth is spinning or not…”, with Francesca Altamura, one of the Main Projects of the VII Moscow International Biennale for Young Art. The digital exhibition is on view at notspinning.world. The project is a People’s Voice Winner of the 2021 Webby Awards in the “Best Website and Mobile Site: Architecture, Art & Design” category
In 2022 she joined the Prize Council for the Jane Lombard Prize for Art and Social Justice initiated by the Vera List Center at The New School.
