Jos Auzende is a curator, artistic director and programme designer with a background in architecture, which she approaches as a tool for thought and experience. For about twenty years, she has developed projects at the intersection of art, media, technology and contemporary ways of inhabiting the world, with a strong interest in emerging practices that exist at the margins of academic or disciplinary frameworks. Her work explores how curatorial narratives can extend across other fields – including architecture, urbanism, fashion and design – to reveal shifts in our imaginaries, environments and modes of living. She served as Artistic Director of La Gaîté Lyrique and was Associate Curator of the French Pavilion at the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale. She is also the founder of Capitaine futur, a curatorial and artistic programme dedicated to introducing children to media, technology and major contemporary issues through artistic experience. Her trajectory includes the creation and artistic direction of projects developed at Batofar, an iconic floating cultural venue in Paris. Today, she works independently as a curator, artistic advisor and cultural project designer.
