Magalie Meunier (born in 1985) is the founder of Studio Ganek, an agency that produces and promotes artistic projects. Through various activities involving artists working in the field of contemporary art, Studio Ganek takes a sensitive approach to the challenges of each project, positioning itself as an interface, a space for exchange and advice, and promoting the uniqueness of works or projects and understanding them through experience. For more than 15 years, Magalie Meunier has worked in various private and public artistic structures (gb agency, Frac MÉCA, IAC Villeurbanne) and has pursued a career as an independent critic and curator, notably with Irmavep Club (2010-2014), La Salle de bains in Lyon (2016-2017) and more recently MLIS in Villeurbanne (2022) and Théâtre de Mâcon with the Nuances program (CURA initiative of the Ministry of Culture). She develops projects in close collaboration with artists, including Maurice Blaussyld, Mel O’Callaghan, Paul Elliman, Hélène Hulak, Julia Huteau, Julie Kieffer, Maria Loboda, Gaelle Loth, Mélissa Mariller, Guillaume Perez, and Shanta Rao. In 2020, she founded, with the Cagnard association, the Espace Montebello in Lyon, a space dedicated to artistic creation consisting of artists’ studios, an association for the promotion of contemporary art, and an exhibition space.
