Colette ANGELI

Biography

Vit à : Marseille , France

Colette Angeli is an independent curator and art critic.
In 2017, she co-founded the collective Polynome, where she develops both exhibition projects (Please Trespass, Cosmopolitiques, Demain les chiens, Cosmopolitics) and writing projects (including “What Wages Would Do to Art” in Facettes magazine, and the Réseau Salariat seminar).

Her curatorial and critical work is guided by a strong intersectional political commitment. Within Polynome, her research focuses on social and democratic practices in the age of the Capitalocene, exploring themes such as the questioning of intellectual property, the value of the Commons, and the redefinition of labor. She is also interested in the relationships between humans and non-humans, gestures and know-how, and countercultural movements. In 2024, she curated the exhibition Vivre en lichen (Living as Lichens) at La Traverse in Marseille, which explored symbiotic relationships.

Colette holds a Master’s degree in Museology from the École du Louvre and a Master’s in Curatorial Studies from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She has worked with institutions including FRAC Île-de-France, La Maison Rouge, FRAC Lorraine, and the Centre Pompidou-Metz, and is currently Assistant Curator at LUMA Arles. As a writer, she contributes to 02 magazine and undertakes private commissions for artists and galleries.
