ANNE-LAURE CHAMBOISSIER (b. 1970, France). Curator, writer, and art historian, she has spent the past fifteen years developing a reflection on sound and music in their transversal relationship with the visual arts, cinema, architecture, and literature. Attentive to the way an artist’s proposal takes root in a given context, she has conceived site-specific contemporary art projects in France and abroad, in the form of exhibitions or encounters (Festival AR(t)CHIPEL in the Centre-Val de Loire region, the “Habiter le lieu” trail in Indre-et-Loire; Más Allá del Sonido, Muntref–Buenos Aires, Beyond the Sound–Hong Kong…). As a writer, she has conducted interviews with a number of artists from diverse disciplinary fields: Christina Kubisch, Dominique Petitgand, Pierre-Yves Macé, Brunhild Ferrari, Yukio Fujimoto, and Myriam Pruvost, to name a few. In 2013, she co-directed a documentary film on the sound poet Bernard Heidsieck with Philippe Franck, and in 2025 completed another film with Stéphane Viard, What Music Does to Literature? . She is also a member of the Société des Nouveaux Commanditaires; as a mediating liaison, she is accompanying two commissions in the Centre-Val de Loire region that will be unveiled as part of Bourges 2028 – European Capital of Culture.
