Lives and works wherever she sets foot
Artist, curator and activist, she is a graduate of the École nationale supérieure d’art Limoges and SPEAP, an experimental program in arts and politics created by Bruno Latour. She co-created the Post-Models, a collective of feminist performing artists, she is one of the creators of the Fabrique Pola and the collectives Pointbarre and Lunik.
Her practice then turns towards the creation of collective and transnational projects whose research focuses on methodologies of collective, trans-disciplinary and European creations, based on historical and political contexts that she develops as an artist/curator.
Marta Jonville has participated and conducted collaborative workshops and exhibitions in England, Germany, Canada, California, Spain, France, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey and Ukraine.
She has taught performance in the public space at the University of Kosice (Slovakia) and created an open studio for aesthetic, philosophical and political research at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts (Krakow, Poland), and at the École supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux.
