Maïté Vissault is a contemporary-art historian, a critic. With a degree in Political Science and a PhD in Art History, she’s currently teaching and publishing in various books, reviews and catalogues. She was curator for contemporary art at the Landesmuseum of Münster, Germany and responsible for several major exhibitions in Germany, France and Belgium, including in 2006 an exhibition in the public space Leere X Vision: ConneXions in collaboration with the Marta Museum (Herford, DE) and the HISK (Gent/Antwerp, BE), in 2013 Stasis | Ruben Bellinkx at Be Part (Warengem, BE), in 2014 Fata Morgana at the ikob, in 2018 Com nu Ties at the Iselp and Resistance at the Centrale for contemporary art (Bruxelles). Maïté Vissault is currently pursuing research on articulation between socio-political issues and displaying art.
